Since 1947, Andrew Gallagher Jewelers has been providing the highest quality jewelry and service in the Tri-State area. The original Andrew Gallagher Jewelers store was started by Andy’s father, Andrew F. Gallagher Jr. Andy’s father served in World War II before opening the store. He later interrupted his jewelry business to serve in the Korean War. When he returned to Delaware from Korea, Andrew became one of most prized and dependable jewelers in Delaware. He had several stores in various locations throughout New Castle County until he retired in 1989.

In 1987, Andrew F. Gallagher III, “Andy”, opened his own store in College Square Shopping Center. About 11 years later he moved the store to its current location in Suburban Shopping Center. Andy continues to follow the family tradition of offering quality merchandise and personalized service. Our friendly, knowledgeable staff will provide as much or as little assistance as you need. We are here to assist you - not pressure you – and encourage our customers to browse our spacious showroom at their leisure. Andy personally handles engraving, jewelry repairs, custom designs, and is involved in the most intricate of details.

We carry a large selection of gold and silver jewelry; diamond engagement rings; wedding bands; gemstones & druzy jewelry; Seiko watches; Rembrandt charms; silver and pewter baby cups and many other items.

are all inspected, tested and weighed on our premises. Proof of ID (Driver's License) is MANDATORY! Cash is paid immediately.
In addition, we support our community through donations to breast cancer research and local churches and organizations.

Our store is located in the Suburban Plaza shopping Center on Elkton Road (Rte. 279). The shopping center is also home to Acme Markets, Home Depot and Applebee's Restaurant.
